BUFFALO, N.Y. — Medaille College has partnered with Riverside High School to create the Medaille Center for Entrepreneurship and Change. Medaille officials made the announcement Thursday at the high school.

The Center will provide students with mentoring and academic coaching, financial literacy workshops and summer job search assistance. Students will also participate in specially designed activities that complement what they're learning in the classroom.

"I think students are becoming excited because they're not just in a school building all day long. They get to go out into the community. There are various field trips Medaille sponsors," said Denise Clark, principal.

Medaille announced it will also give $450,000 in scholarship funds each year to graduating Riverside students to attend Medaille.

Funding will begin when Riverside’s current sophomore class graduates in 2014.
