BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Canadian toy maker brought big smiles to the faces of patients at Women and Children's Hospital on Tuesday as he handed out plush toy dogs.
Darrin Wilson, the owner of Tall Trees Toyworks, donated 300 "Wuga-Dogs" to say thank you to the hospital, who once took in a baby from Ontario after doctors couldn't find any NICU beds for her in Canada.
"I thought this would be a good idea to bring out some of the Wuga-Dogs I have and just give it to the kids as a thank you to the hospital and to the kids, ya know just to give back smiles," said Wilson.
Wilson created the Wuga-Dog to look like his own puppy.
