BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A man accused of trying to murder his ex-wife was arraigned in Erie County Court on Monday.

68-year-old Jonathan Cheek of Wilson is charged with attempted murder, reckless endangerment, and criminal mischief.

It comes after a January incident where police say Cheek tried to kill his ex-wife at her Amherst home.

He’s also accused of trying to run her car off the road. Cheek is facing a maximum sentence of 25 years behind bars.
