There’s more good news about U-B wrestler Dan Bishop, who is recovering from a severe spinal cord injury.

Bishop stood on his own for the first time. He's also regained some fine motor skills in his hands and was able to send a text message.

The senior from Whitehall has been recovering at a Michigan Hospital since he was injured.

Doctors plan to transfer him to a rehabilitation hospital in Schenectady on Thursday.
