BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Chocolate bunny, check. Easter eggs, check. Hot dog sauce, check.

Along with buying the traditional Easter goods you can try some of the more off beat items like Hot dog sauce at the Broadway Market.

“We have had this recipe for quite some time and we finally got it mastered and we started packing it and my son and I just wanted to get it off the ground so we called the Broadway Market,” said Charles Villafranca, a new vendor at the Broadway Market. “We came here and we did a few shows, we got some phenomenal reviews and from there it led to here.”

Charles Villafranca started making and selling his "Chuckie's Buffalo Hot Dog Sauce" from home. When it was time to expand his business this year, he brought it to Broadway Market. Almost 100 vendors opened shop this weekend just for the Easter season. Most venders have been here for years, but there are a handful of new comers.

“We will bring people in who have a good business idea but maybe have a job Monday through Friday and they can come in here and Saturday and run a business, let it grow, and hopefully either let it expand within the market or out in Buffalo,” Broadway Market Executive Director Tom Kerr said.

Niagara Popcorn is another new vendor that does all of its production on site.

“With Easter and the volume of people who are coming through we wanted to be a part of the excitement that happens every single year,” Tom Coates, a new vendor at the market said.

E.M Chrusciki has been selling at the market for 25 years. This established vendor said they welcome the new vendors, “It’s great to have new vendors, different tastes, different ethnicities coming in.”

Mary Buczko has been coming to the market for seventy years and has been shopping with her son Stanley since he can remember.

“We like the culture and we like to food, but now I see so many things here I asked him to come during the week,” Mary Buczko said while shopping.

The market will have extended hours the week before Easter Sunday. It will be closed on Easter. However, this is the first time the market will be open on Dyngus Day, the Monday after Easter Sunday.
