BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Ring Road at Delaware Park is getting a much needed face lift.

Construction got underway this week on the 1.8 mile road that circles Delaware Park. The road is a popular destination for runners, walkers and cyclists, and years of wear and tear left the road in need of resurfacing.

Mayor Byron Brown said the $500 million project will greatly improve the popular park, “It won’t be too much inconvenience to the public but they'll see a much smoother road, a much more attractive road and it’s just part of the city’s effort to improve the quality of life in Buffalo.”

The project is expected to be completed in two to three weeks.
