Bills bus routes in question
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Bus routes to and from Ralph Wilson Stadium on game days could be eliminated.
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority held a public hearing Monday night to get feedback on the proposed change.
Game day service includes seven nonstop, roundtrip bus routes to and from Orchard Park.
While eliminating several or all of the routes would help the NFTA financially, it's a service they're hoping to keep according to public affairs officer Doug Hartmayer.
"We're looking at ways that we can help reduce our costs and we're having ongoing conversations with the buffalo bills-- very favorable conversations with the buffalo bills on how that we can collaboratively advertise and promote the service so more customers will take advantage of the game day service that we presently provide."
NFTA officials say they lose around $17,000 on the routes every season.
Another public hearing will be held Tuesday evening in Niagara Falls.
