Man drowns in Lake Ontario
NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Rochester man drowned in Lake Ontario just off Olcott Harbor.
Niagara County Sheriff's Deputies say the 37-year-old man was fishing with friends Thursday afternoon and he decided to go swimming.
When he started to struggle, a man jumped off the boat to rescue him.
The victim's friends performed CPR until they got back to shore and emergency crews could take over.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name is not being released at this time.
