NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A Niagara Falls City Councilman spent Tuesday afternoon spreading a little holiday cheer.
Last week, Council Chair Sam Fruscione set up an email account where residents in need of a Thanksgiving turkey could send their requests.
On Tuesday, he spent the afternoon passing out 25 of turkeys to families in need across the city, hoping to provide a holiday meal.
Fruscione says he paid for the turkeys out of his own pocket and hopes to expand the effort in the coming years.
