BUFFALO, N.Y. — Dozens of demonstrators came together outside of the Federal Executive Board Building in Buffalo on Monday to deliver a petition to Senator Charles Schumer.

The group wants Congress to end the tax cuts for the wealthy, as well as ensure that Medicaid and Social Security remain safe from future cuts.

The Western New York Area Labor Federation organized the gathering, and people of all ages came together to help get their message across.

"This is not a demonstration against Senator Schumer in any way. This is a demonstration to remind everyone again what the verdict of that election was, and that was to increase taxes on the wealthiest two percent," said Richard Lipsitz, president, WNY Labor Federation.

The rally was part of nearly 100 other similar demonstrations all across the United States.
