Flu season picking up in New York
Flu season is picking up in New York with the disease now present in two-thirds of the state.

The New York Health Department classified the flu as widespread in its most recent report.

Flu cases have been reported in 47 counties, including Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua and Wyoming.

Twelve cases have been reported in Western New York since flu season started in October.
Health officials urge people to get a flu shot, saying there's plenty of vaccine available.
