Bank robber who led police on high-speed chase sentenced
BUFFALO, N.Y. — A man who robbed a bank and then led police on a high speed chase will spend 15 years behind bars.
Mark Daniels, 48, was sentenced Friday morning on a conviction of robbery, grand larceny and reckless driving.
Daniels walked into an Evans National Bank Bank in Amherst back in December of 2011, jumped over the counter, and then fled with more than $4,000.
Officers were able to track him down, but he nearly ran over an officer before leading them on a seven-mile high speed chase through Amherst and Buffalo's east side.
The chase ended with Daniels crashing his car into two others.
