Police Determine Deadly Seven-Story Fall Was An Accident
The Batavia Police Department has ruled the death of a Batavia man from over the summer an accident.
William Hastings fell seven stories out of his open window to his death this past June. It happened at the 400 Towers senior living facility in Batavia.
Police say the investigation revealed that Hastings became intoxicated from abusing cough medicine.
Police say they believe Hastings' intoxicated state contributed to him falling out of the window.
