BUFFALO, N.Y. — The traveling exhibit Discover the Dinosaurs opened Friday at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.
More than 50 replica and animatronic dinosaurs are on display to capture the wonder of children and their parents.
Some parents said seeing dinosaurs in person help bring to life what their children learn through books and videos.
"When you're six-years old, these things are massive compared to you. They move and roar. It's not something where you just sit and watch. Its definitely an interactive exhibit. You can press different buttons to move different parts of their body, make 'em roar," said Taylor Hughes, assistant show manager.
There are many hands-on activities for the kids, such as bounce houses, a dino-dig for budding paleontologists, and dinosaur rides.
The exhibit is in town the rest of this weekend.
