NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — He's known as Mister Las Vegas, but Friday, he was recrowned Mister Niagara Falls.
Singer and actor Wayne Newton was saying Danke Schoen to city leaders after receiving the key to the city.
Newton has been in town most of the week for a series of concerts at Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel.
After receiving the key, Newton flipped the switch to light Old Falls Street.
The famous entertainer says he truly enjoyed the way the Niagara Falls community came together for the evening's event.
Newton said, "Everybody coming together to make sure that the lights are turned on again on this fabulous street kind of says it all. That's what we as people are all about".
Newton wraps up five days of shows in Niagara Falls with two performances Saturday and one Sunday.
