BUFFALO, N.Y. — Sheehan Health is getting a new look and a new name as the building's new owner works to make it a centerpiece in the community.
McGuire Development Company says it is renaming the building "Compass East."
They plan to re-do the exterior of the building to make it look more modern and in line with other buildings in Buffalo's medical corridor.
In addition, the group has announced that the Langston Hughes Institute is the first official tenant in the Sheehan building. It's being housed there at no cost because the institute was "homeless", according to a spokesperson.
Other tenants are expected to be announced in a few weeks.
