The 15-second YouTube clip released by the Erie County GOP has many people talking. The video shows Jack Davis, an independent candidate for the 26th Congressional District, allegedly involved in a pushing match with a Republican volunteer.

The Davis campaign tells YNN the video is "’The Blair Witch Project' of tracker videos". Campaigns use 'trackers' to follow opponents at campaign events, such as the one in Greece Wednesday night attended by Davis with Iraq War veteran David Bellavia.

Jane Corwin’s campaign confirmed the tracker involved in the incident, was a member of her staff, Michael Mallia.

Corwin, the Republican in the race, says Davis acted inappropriately.

"I did see the clip, and I think, you know, it is what it is,” said Corwin, who was in Rochester on Friday night. “Clearly my chief of staff was standing there yelling out questions and Jack took a shot at him. I don't think it's appropriate behavior for a candidate for Congress."

Corwin, the Republican candidate in the May 24 special election, says Mallia was at the event on his own time. She said she wasn't aware a video was made until it was released.
