Seneca Nation of Indians elects new president and treasurer
The Seneca Nation of Indians has a new president and treasurer.
Barry Snyder was victorious in the race for Seneca Nation President, beating Richard Nephew.
Rod Pierce from the Allegany Territory was elected to serve as the Nation’s treasurer, and Geraldine Huff was elected clerk.
More than 2,600 Seneca voters turned out at the polls on the Cattaraugus and Allegany territories.
The electees will each serve two year terms.
