Flash to play in new Pro Soccer League
The Western New York Flash are one of eight teams that will be a part of a new women's professional soccer league in the United States. League play will begin in March or April. Teams are expected to have a 22 game schedule.

Along with the Western New York Flash, the other seven teams will be based in Boston, New Jersey, Chicago, Kansas City, Seattle, Portland and Washington D.C.

The Flash won the championship last summer in the Women’s Premier Soccer League Elite division.

There's no word yet on whether Pittsford native Abby Wambach will play in the new league.
