RANDOLPH, N.Y. — Randolph Cardinals' running back Jordan Dowiasz is the 2012 Class D Football Player of the Year.

Dowiasz helped lead the Cardinals to their second state championship in four years. The senior finished the year with over 1,700 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns in 13 games.

Even more impressive were his post season numbers. In six games, Jordan racked up more than 900 yards and totaled 13 trips to the end zone.

"Being the state football player of the year means a lot to me. I have gotten a lot of congratulations from teachers, other coaches, from Maple Grove and Southwestern, all other coaches. Everyone I see says congrats, I didn't do it for me I did everything for my team," said Dowiasz.
