Niagara Hockey's riding high. They split with Robert Morris this weekend to clinch the Atlantic Hockey regular season title and the top seed in the conference tournament.

Giancarlo Iuorio led the way with seven points in two games, and claimed conference Player of the Week honors. Additionally, Niagara remains nationally ranked at 15th in the USA Today poll.

The Purple Eagles play Mercyhurst and Air Force before the conference tournament begins.

"You can't turn it on and off. These last four games will dictate how we play in the playoffs. They're as big as any. Yes, we've clinched. It feels great. I'm proud of the guys. But these last four games, we have so much to play for," said head coach Dave Burkholder.

The last couple weekends, I thought we had our good moments, but obviously we haven't been playing our best hockey. Playoff time is coming up, right around the corner. These two teams are really good, who we are going to be playing. So we just want to prepare well and get a good win," Iuorio said.
