BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Alliance for Quality Education released a report Wednesday showing that the state budget proposed money for school aid is inadequate.
The group says only 52 percent of the proposed $805 million in school aid
is directed to high need schools.
The Alliance has a plan to redirect $53 million dollars of that money to pre-kindergarten programs.
The group says its recommendations will redistribute the grants in a way that will give high-needs schools more aid including schools in Buffalo, Jamestown and Niagara Falls.
