TOWN OF LOCKPORT, N.Y. — David Elliott, 56, pleaded not guilty to charges of sexual abuse and misconduct Thursday morning in a Lockport town courtroom.
Elliott pleaded not guilty to charges of 2nd degree sexual abuse and official misconduct, both misdemeanors.
Last week, the Niagara County Sheriff's office issued a press release stating that the Sanborn resident, who had worked as a corrections officer since 2006, had been arrested.
They did not go into detail, only saying Elliott's arrest stemmed from an incident of sexual abuse while on the job at the county's correctional facility.
Since his arrest, Elliott has been suspended with pay pending an internal investigation and hearing.
Elliott is scheduled to return to court on March 9th.
