LEWISTON, N.Y. — Police are looking for the driver involved in a deadly hit and run accident Wednesday night on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation in Niagara County.
Police in Lewiston say Loren Jacobs was walking along Mount Hope Road when he was struck by a vehicle around 10 p.m. Wednesday. The driver then fled the scene.
Jacobs was taken by Mercy Flight to ECMC, where he later died.
Investigators say they're looking for an older-model sedan, either white or silver in color, and it possibly has a loud exhaust system. They believe the vehicle may have damage in its front-end and passenger side.
Anyone with information is asked to call Lewiston police at (716) 754-8477 or the Niagara County Sheriff's Office at (716) 438-3394.
