Body identified as missing airman
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo Police sources now confirm a body found in the Black Rock Canal is that of a missing Buffalo man.
Police say the underwater recovery team pulled the body of Richard Jones, 23, out of the water near the Black Rock Locks yesterday.
He was reported missing by family on Nov. 3 after he didn't report for his scheduled drill with the 914 Air Force Reserves at the Niagara Falls Air Base.
The cause of death is not yet known.
