BUFFALO -- Ask and you shall receive. The City of Good Neighbors showed its heart yet again Wednesday. In the parking lot of Rich Products on the corner of Niagara and W. Ferry Street, lines of people unloaded car loads of everything from paper towels, baby supplies, to mops.

Rich's, 103.3 the EDGE, and the Empire State Development Corporation teamed up to collect two tractor trailers worth of supplies. The supplies will be sent right to the people on the front lines affected by Sandy.

Howard Rich, the VP of Corporate Relations at Rich Products said, "We have friends, neighbors, customers, and family down in the area and it's just the right thing to do."

The New York metro area is still feeling the affects of Superstorm Sandy, now more than two weeks later.

"There continues to be real devastation. A lot of homelessness, people without power, heat, or electric," said Sam Hoyt of the Empire State Development Corp.

Hoyt said donations may be the only relief the devastated areas see for a while.

"There's this gap between when insurance kicks in and when FEMA aid is available," Hoyt said. "Between now and then we're attempting to provide that gap assistance."

Rich Products is also donating $100,000 of food to the victims of Sandy. The two truckloads should arrive in the hardest hit areas by Friday.
