UNITED STATES -- Good news for people suffering from allergies but still looking to get the flu vaccine: the FDA has approved the first seasonal vaccine made without chicken eggs. This should come as a relief for people who have egg allergies.

Flucelvax is made using culture animal cells, which is also faster than using eggs. Health and Human Services officials say the vaccine is just as safe and effective as the traditional flu shot, but the FDA only approved it for those over 18.
