Approximately 14,000 runners hit the streets of downtown Buffalo this morning for the yearly Turkey Trot.

It was expected to be about 800 more runners than last year.

The run was followed by parties at Statler City and the Buffalo Convention Center.

Jed Christiansen, 25, of Greenville, PA won the overall male category in 24:01, while Jacklyn Rzpecki, 34, of Rochester, MI won the overall female category in 28:17.
