The crash happened on Transit Road around 5:30. The woman driving was taken to a local hospital, while the baby was taken to Women and Children's hospital. Both of their injuries were minor.

A passerby rushed to help and released the baby from its car seat. And fire crews said that quick thinking helped avoid a more serious injury.

"The car was on it's roof and a passerby released the baby out of the car seat, which was still hanging upside down, so the baby stayed in the car seat itself", said Depew Fire Department Chief Dave Adamberger.

Depew Police are trying to figure out what led to the crash.
