One of two teens charged in puppy burning pleads guilty
BUFFALO, N.Y. — A teenager has admitted his role in the burning of a puppy.

The Erie County District Attorney says 17-year-old Diondre Brown pleaded guilty to aggravated cruelty to animals and admitted he acted as a lookout for 19-year-old Adell Ziegler.

Ziegler's accused of setting the Jack Russell Terrier on fire with lighter fluid on October 29th.
He's has also been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and faces up to two years in prison.

The Buffalo Animal Shelter says Phoenix is responding well to a skin graft on his left hind leg. Doctors say his leg may still need to be amputated.

Phoenix is scheduled for another surgery Thursday.
