Local Veterans Come together to watch Army-Navy Football Game

Local Veterans Come together to watch Army-Navy Football Game
BUFFALO, NY--Local military veterans kicked off the first ever viewing party of the annual Army-Navy football game Saturday afternoon, all to raise money for a good cause.

Proceeds from the fundraiser held at Liberty Hound Restaurant will benefit the Naval Park. Dozens of veterans and their families came out to cheer on their favorite team and enjoy food, drinks and catching up with friends they served with overseas.

Some vets say the party was a great way to reconnect with their past in a fun setting.

Korean Conflict Veteran Thomas Higgins said, "We've been friends for years and years, and there's people sitting there that I've known thirty, forty, fifty years, so it's renewing the acquaintanceship and renewing our friendships".

The Army Navy football rivalry started in 1890. This year, bragging rights went to the Navy, extending their winning streak to 11 games.
