Feed the City Fundraiser Benefits Food Bank of WNY
BUFFALO, NY--Philanthropists teamed up with Rock and Roll legends Saturday night all in an effort to raise much needed funding for the Food Bank of Western New York.
Several local bands teamed up with front man Ian Hunter for the second annual Feed the City Concert, at Buffalo's Town Ballroom. Every dollar raised from the night helps the food bank purchase 8 pounds of food for local families and organizers say the bands and other donors have been thrilled to help the cause.
Last year's concert raised enough money to buy more than 200 thousand pounds of food, and organizers say they hope to surpass that amount this year.
