Taglianetti expected to be extradited to NY
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, N.Y. — The man accused of killing a Chautauqua County school superintendent is expected to return to Western New York from Virginia this week to answer the charge.
According to the Chautauqua County District Attorney's Office, Anthony Taglianetti is eligible for return to New York from Prince William County because he did not file the proper court paperwork.
Taglianetti is accused of fatally shooting Clymer School Superintendent Keith Reed on September 21st. He was caught by Virginia law enforcement later that month, but had been fighting extradition to New York to face a charge of second-degree murder.
The District Attorney's Office says authorities have until January 4th to return Taglianetti, but local officials plan to travel to Virginia this week to bring him back.
