Riverside student charged with hitting teacher, carrying knife
BUFFALO, N.Y. — A 16-year-old girl faces numerous charges after police say she hit a teacher during a fight at Riverside High School.
Police say the student threw a chair at another person in the school gym around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. They say she was pushing and fighting with teachers as she left the building and hit one of the teachers in the hand.
Police say the girl also had a steak knife on her.
She's charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment, in addition to other charges.
