NIAGARA COUNTY, NY-- An extraordinary story out of Niagara County Sunday, where a fifth grade student organized a community-wide vigil for the victims of the Connecticut shooting.

10-year-old Abigail Wilson decided she wanted to put together the vigil just hours after she heard the devastating news.

In just two days, she printed out flyers to spread the word, and Sunday, it was clear her voice was heard.

Local fire departments, politicians, and teachers all joined members of the tight knit community to pray and send hope to the recovering town.

"I just felt so sad that these children that weren't going to wake up for Christmas Day. I thought about the families and what if it happened to me and I thought it would be nice to say a prayer for them", said Wilson.

Wilson even went door to door in her quest to make sure that Sunday's vigil would become a reality.
