A situation in Lockport leads to school evacuation
LOCKPORT, N.Y. — Students were evacuated from Lockport high school Friday evening as Lockport Police searched outside the building with K-9's. Police wouldn't say, however, why the students were evacuated.
Parents at the school's swim meet tell YNN that Lockport police officers and Niagara County sheriff's deputies entered the school around 7 p.m. Friday and evacuated everyone through one door.
Parents were told there was a situation on a nearby street, and they were being asked to leave as a precaution. They were told to go home for the evening.
