HAMBURG, N.Y. — A Hamburg woman is trying to get a town councilman removed from office.
Elizabeth Reszka has filed a lawsuit against Hamburg Councilman Joe Collins, saying he hasn't acted in the best interest of the town.
Reszka alleges Collins' law firm has sued the town, costing the town's legal department at least $60,000.
Reszka also claims Collins has used town employees to post advertisements for his law firm.
"It's not fair for the taxpayers to constantly have to pay extra taxes, and everything else, because he's not following the rules," Reszka said.
