Cornell to step down as Minority Leader
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, N.Y. — The Minority Leader of the Chautauqua County Legislature has stepped down.
Legislator Lori Cornell, a Democrat, says she decided to step down because she feels other legislators deserve a chance to serve in leadership roles.
Cornell, who served as Minority Leader for three years, also says family played a role in the decision.
She will remain on the county legislature.
Legislator Bob Whitney will replace Cornell as Minority Leader and legislator Billy Coughlin has been named Assistant Minority Leader.
