NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — Thousands of Western New York aerospace artifacts will soon have a new home.

Several Niagara County delegates were on hand Friday to officially announce the Niagara Aerospace Museum is moving into the old Niagara Falls International Airport terminal.

Museum officials hope to open doors to the public by mid-May.

The terminal space will allow the museum to display thousands of historical aviation artifacts.

"We're also going to showcase that aviation and aerospace is alive and well in Western New York and we're highlight some of our local manufacturers like Calspan, Moog, and Lockheed Martin," said Paul Faltyn, curator.

Faltyn says with the influx of Canadian travelers using the airport, the museum expects 30,000 to 50,000 annual museum visitors.
