WEBSTER, N.Y. -- Officials have announced that the two West Webster firefighters who were injured during the ambush on Christmas Eve have been released from the hospital.
Joseph Hofstetter and Theodore Scardino were released from Strong Hospital around noon on Saturday.
They have been in the hospital recovering for almost two weeks after they were shot at when responding to a fire call on Lake Road in Webster.
Hofstetter was shot in the pelvis.
Scardino was shot in the shoulder and the knee.
