Buffalo, N.Y. -- Buffalo's finest and funniest came out to Helium Comedy Club Wednesday as eight comedians went head-to-head to decide who would be the "Last Comic Standing."

After three months of auditions from more than 60 local comedians, the final round featured the top eight area funnymen.

Former Buffalo Sabre Andrew Peters and Edge radio personality James Kurdziel filled the judge's chairs to decide who would walk away with the $500 grand prize and the title of Buffalo's best comedian.

Local comic Rick Matthews walked away with top honors and bragging rights, until next year.
