Crews survey Bethlehem Steel building
LACKAWANNA, N.Y. — Workers are preparing for the demolition of a symbol of Western New York's industrial past.
Crews were at the former Bethlehem Steel administration building on Thursday, surveying the property before it's demolished. Fences have also gone up around the property.
The state gave permission to begin tearing down the building in December.
The Lackawanna Industrial Heritage Group says has been trying to save the building.
It's not clear when demolition is expected to begin. That project should take about four to six weeks.
