PORTVILLE, N.Y. -- A woman in Cattaraugus County was seriously injured Thursday afternoon, by her own dog.

State Police say they responded to a home on Windfall Road in Portville and found Jacki Hopkins, 66, on the ground with bite wounds on her face, upper body and legs.

She was taken to ECMC where she's listed in serious condition.

Police say Hopkins' 125 pound Doberman escaped a fenced-in yard and attacked her.

The dog was killed by police.
