Buffalo Sabres fans warm store for final hours of sale
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Hockey fans spent Saturday waiting about as long into get into the Sabres Store as to get out.
As a thank you to fans, the store has had everything on sale for half off all week. Many fans said they waited about a hour to get in, but they didn't mind the lines to stock up on merchandise.
Sabres President Ted Black said to speed the lines along, the team's accounting department was helping in the store. Black was even in the act, offering hot chocolate and coffee to the waiting masses.
"We fought (the lines) on Monday too," said Ric Toczek. "We thought it would be smaller, but it's about the same. A lot of people. Hockey is back."
The 50 percent off sale ends after Sunday's game.
