Niagara takes first place in MAAC, Canisius beats Siena

Former NBA all-star Anthony Mason was on hand to watch his son, Antoine Mason and Niagara, trying for a 7th straight conference win facing Manhattan.

Purple Eagles swing it to Mason on the drive, tough hoop, that his only field goal of the game, but he still led the team with 15 points.

Purple Eagles hit 38 free throws and win by four. Niagara first place in the MAAC.

Meantime, Canisius men's hoops were going for two in a row at home, hosting Siena. The Saints beat the Griffs on a buzzer beater last week.

Canisius improves to 5-3 in the MAAC with the blowout win.
