Anyone who's been outside today has noticed it's a windy one in Western New York.

The National Weather Service issued a High Wind Warning for the entire area lasting until 4 o'clock this afternoon. The Buffalo-Niagara International Airport and the Niagara Falls Airport both reported 61 mile an hour wind gusts.

The wind this morning caused a few minor problems at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

The NFTA tells us a United plane that was parked at the airport was blown around by high winds and bumped into a parked fuel truck. The incident happened around 4:30am, so no one was on the plane at the time and no one was injured. A crew from United was called in to inspect the plane for any damages before it was deemed ready to fly again.

The NFTA also tells us a power outage at the airport around 7am this morning left gates 1-14 without power for about an hour. The outage caused minor delays, but everything is back up and running now.

According to YNN Meteorologist Brooke Zegarelli, the wind was heaviest along Lake Erie, churning up waves from 10 to 14 feet.
