Lackawanna Municipal Housing Authority has new executive director
LACKAWANNA, N.Y. — The Lackawanna Municipal Housing Authority has a new executive director.
The city's former mayor, Norm Polanski, was unanimously chosen as the new leader in a special meeting Saturday.
Polanski replaces Robert McManus, who stepped down because of health concerns.
The Authority's Commissioner David Hardy also voted for Polanski, despite some concerns about the way he ran things when he was mayor.
Polanski will earn $85,000 a year as executive director.
