BUFFALO, N.Y. — One of Buffalo's brightest young singers shined for a good cause Saturday evening.

Local recording artist and former "X Factor" finalist Caitlin Koch performed at Spot Coffee as part of a benefit for the Starlight Foundation. It featured a raffle that included Bills and Sabres memorabilia.

The Starlight Foundation helps ill children with everyday activities.

Koch says giving back is key.

"It's important to entertain these children and give them something to smile about. They're going through something extremely serious that not many people understand, and so it's just great to be here tonight and to be able to put a smile on their face," she said.

The Starlight Foundation was founded in 1982 and serves around 80 families in the Buffalo area.
