Man charged in shooting of two-year-old girl pleads not guilty
NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — A Niagara Falls man charged in the November shooting of a two-year-old girl has pleaded not guilty in the case.
Court officials say 32-year-old Willie Scott Junior pleaded not guilty to first-degree assault, first-degree criminal use of a firearm, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon Friday.
Police say Scott fired twice at a car parked at the Hometown Market on Pierce Avenue on November 27th and then left the scene.
Two-year-old J'Raeona Moore was in the car at the time, and was shot in the face. A family friend tells YNN that Moore is doing well and recovering at home.
Scott will be back in court later next month.
