Jamestown man accused of robbing convenience store
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man is behind bars after allegedly robbing a convenience store.

Police say 56-year-old Carl Mitchell went to make a purchase at the 7-11 on North Main Street around 2 a.m. Tuesday and took an unknown amount of cash from the drawer after the clerk opened it.

Police said he ran away before officers arrived, but he turned himself in Tuesday afternoon.

Mitchell was charged with robbery and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail.
